An illegal immigrant who killed two children in a hit-and-run accident is not only avoiding deportation from the United States, she won’t receive any prison time at all.
Cynthia Garcia-Cisneros, an illegal immigrant, recently had her immigration case dismissed, despite the fact that she was convicted of two felonies for a hit-and-run that resulted in the tragic deaths of two young girls.
On top of the fact that her case was dismissed – although the reason for dismissal and the judge’s name have not been released – Garcia-Cisneros received no prison time for her conviction, an example of how the immigration laws in the U.S. can often protect illegal immigrants more than legal U.S. citizens, according to Laura Ingraham.
Garcia-Cisneros was allowed to be in the U.S. in the first place because of a 2012 executive order from President Obama that allows illegal immigrants who were brought to the country as children to stay.
Hernandez said that the parents of the victims pled with the immigration and state judges to not have Garcia-Cisneros serve time or be deported.
He added that the case was not dismissed with prejudice, so U.S. Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) has the ability to try Garcia-Cisneros again if it wants.
Ingraham reiterated that this illegal immigrant was convicted under state law of two felonies. Ingraham said that if Garcia-Cisneros were a green card holder, not an illegal immigrant, she would be immediately deportable.
“This just shows us this whole DREAMer thing is a big farce,” Ingraham stated, adding that 68,000 criminals – including 167 murderers – have been released by ICE.
“We have enough criminals to deal with in the country. We don’t need an entire new class of criminals.”
